The Township Of Chapleau was crowned the 2022 Ice Fishing Capital of Ontario with 161 fish caught and 39 residents participating in the event, earning them 7,922 points. Dubreuilville came in second with 18 residents catching 372 fish for a total of 7,782 points. In third place is the town of Wawa, with 45 residents catching 193 fish for a total of 6,707 points.
