Chapleau Tourism Development Fund

The Chapleau Tourism Development Fund was developed though the Municipal Accomodation Tax that is collected from local hotels in the Township of Chapleau. The Chapleau Tourism Development Fund is a non-repayable contribution which supports local economic development projects/initiatives which would increase tourism with the Township of Chapleau.  For more information and access to the application, see link below.

Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Coporation (NOHFC)

New or expanding businesses in Chapleau are often eligible for funding in the form of grants or loans from the Ontario government through various programs run by the NOHFC.

NOHFC will also partially fund internships for recent graduates working in either private or non-profit businesses.



The Canadian federal government, through FedNor, supports businesses and communities in Northern Ontario. Funding is available for internships, Francophone initiatives, fostering innovation, growth planning, research and development, business loans, and much more.
