THE PLANNING ACT
NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF A ZONING BY-LAW BY
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF CHAPLEAU


TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Chapleau has passed By-law No. 2023-21 on the 11th day of April, 2023, under Section 34 of the Planning Act.


AND TAKE NOTICE that Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf. No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.


An appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the By-law may be completed by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Chapleau not later than the 13th day of May, 2023 a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law and the planning reasons in support of the objection accompanied by the required fee made payable to the Minister of Finance.
The By-law shall apply to the lands located at 49 Monk Street. The purpose of the By-law is to permit up to five (5) dwelling units within the dwelling and lower the minimum parking requirements to 1 parking space per dwelling unit.


A copy of the Zoning By-law and any associated information is available for public inspection between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays at the Civic Centre, and available on the Township’s website at:
