THE PLANNING ACT NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF A ZONING BY-LAW BY THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF CHAPLEAU

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Chapleau passed By-law No. 2019-35 on the 10th day of June, 2019, under Section 34 of the Planning Act.

AND TAKE NOTICE that only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a zoning by-law to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf. No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. An appeal to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal in respect of the By-law may be completed by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Chapleau not later than the 1stof July, 2019 a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law and the planning reasons in support of the objection accompanied by the required fee of $125 made payable to the Minister of Finance.

The By-law shall apply to the lands located at 58 Golf Course Road. The purpose of the By-law is to amend the Township of Chapleau’s Approved Zoning By-law 2013-11, as amended, to permit a medical office on lands located at 58 Golf Course Road from R1-Residential Density One to R1-4 – Residential Density Special Exception 4 Zone; to permit the following uses: medical office as a home occupation which is clearly subordinate to the principal residential use; single detached residential dwelling and the maximum number of permitted off-street parking associated with the Medical Office shall be 4.

A copy of the Zoning By-law and any associated information is available for public inspection between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays at the Civic Centre, and available on the Township’s website at:
