Skateboarding By-Law 2018-21

ATTENTION CHAPLEAU

 The Council of the Township of Chapleau would like to advise citizens that the By-law which prohibits skateboarding has been repealed.

Skateboards, Roller Blades and non-motorized Scooters are permitted in all areas, except those areas identified in the below map.  The prohibited areas include high traffic streets and sidewalks, such as Monk Street and portions of Pine and Birch Street, as well as the Monk Street Bridge, the Pedestrian Bridge, the Civic Centre and the Waterfront Park.

No person shall ride a Skateboard, Roller Blades or Scooter in a manner so as to cause any damage to public or private property.
