PUBLIC NOTICE
Vulnerable Persons Registry (VPR)


The Township of Chapleau is pleased to announce a new and exciting service available to the residents of Chapleau - the Vulnerable Person’s Registry (VPR).
The VPR is a free and confidential service aimed at improving safety of vulnerable persons during emergencies and disasters. The registry is secure and will provide key information to local Emergency Management Coordinators. This will ensure that you receive communication directly from the Township during an emergency.

Are you a Vulnerable Person?

Do you have a loved one who is a Vulnerable Person?

A Vulnerable Person is any resident without 24-hour support who experiences difficulty with any of the following:
• Mobility
• Vision Impairment
• Hearing Impairment
• Developmental Disabilities
• Cognitive Impairment
• Mental Health Conditions
• Any resident who requires electricity for life-sustaining equipment such as oxygen, life support, dialysis etc.
OR
• Any resident that doesn’t have access to other forms of information i.e internet, social media.

Enlisting in the registry is easy. Simply follow the steps below:
• Complete the registration form which can be found on the Township of Chapleau website as well as the Vulnerable Persons Registry website at: www.soovpr.com. Forms can also be obtained by calling the Township.
• Submit the application digitally through the VPR website, by mail or email to:
