PELLOW, Florence Elsie - It is with deep sadness that the family of Florence Elsie Pellow (née Collings) announces her passing on Friday March 7, 2025, at the age of 97.
Elsie was born in Chapleau, Ontario, on May 13, 1927. She married Kenneth Pat Pellow in 1945.
Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Olive McAdam, and her nephews and nieces David (Debra) McAdam, Kenneth McAdam, and Leitha Guse (Kevin). She will also be missed by her many great nieces and great nephews, as well as her church family and devoted neighbours. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claire and Olive Collings, her husband, Kenneth A. “Pat” Pellow, her nephew Keith McAdam (survived by Carmen), and her siblings Mabel Ritchie (Douglas), Ray, Baisel (Dorleen), and Vernon.
A devoted Christian, Elsie was very involved in the Community Bible Chapel, where she loved serving the Lord Jesus. She spent countless hours teaching Sunday School, bookkeeping for the church, and assisting with Wildwood Bible Camp in its early years.
Elsie enjoyed an active lifestyle, often seen riding her bike around Chapleau in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter.
In accordance with her wishes, a graveside service will be held in the spring at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all staff at the Bignucolo Residence for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Wildwood Bible Camp would be greatly appreciated.
Prov. 3, verses 5 and 6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall director thy paths”.
