BRANCHAUD, Simone – Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Bignucolo Residence on Saturday January 6, 2018 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Jean-Charles “Tonton” Branchaud. Dear friend of Rémi Raiche. Very caring mother of John (Carole), Lise and Michel (Joanne). Loving grandmother of Julie, Louis, Marc, Jean-Michel, Jim, Andrea and Deanne. Proud great grandmother of Holly, Ian, Iris and Jadence. Dear sister of the late Jean-Paul Lafond (Thérèse), late Rémi Lafond, late Jeannette St-Pierre (late Sarto), late Gérald Lafond (Marthe), late Bernard Lafond, Rita Lafond (Jacques Frechette), late Gemma Lafond, late Lucy Lafond, late Marie-Claire Lafond and André Lafond (late Lisette). She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Sacred Heart Church on Friday January 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sebastien Groleau officiating. Interment of her ashes will take place in the spring of 2018 in Montreal. Memorial donations made to the Chapleau General Hospital Foundation or to the Activation Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the Doctors, nurses and all of the staff at the Bignucolo Residence for their exceptional care of Simone. Bonne amie de Rémi Raiche. Mère de John (Carole), Lise et Michel (Joanne). Grand-mère bien-aimée de Julie, Louis, Marc, Jean-Michel, Jim, Andrea et Deanne. L’enterrement aura lieu au printemps 2018 à Montréal. Des dons commémoratifs à la Fondation de l’hôpital de Chapleau ou au Fond du département de l’Activation seraient grandement appréciés par la famille.
