O'HEARN, Patrick "Pat" - Passed away on Saturday August 3, 2019 at the age of 74 years. Born in Chapleau to Robert and Margaret (nee Leclair) O'Hearn.  Predeceased by his sister Ann O'Hearn. Survived by his wife Ludie (nee Palileo), daughters Pamela Morin (Jacques) and Lani Green (Kevin). His siblings, Rita Pilon (Richard), Bob O'Hearn (Andrée), Betty O'Hearn, Terri O'Hearn and brother-in-law Danilo Palileo (Edita). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Pat devoted over 30 years to the department of highways. His years of patrol fostered his love of driving. He thoroughly enjoyed being at the helm of the wheel and he passed this torch onto his daughters. A man of faith. Humble by nature. Faithful to those he called friends. Family meant the world to him. He was blessed to have had 25 years of retirement. Busying himself with family, golf, kayaking and puttering at home. A lover of sports and a devoted Blackhawks fan. Never one to sit idle for very long. He was a creature of habit and faithfully worked out every single day! He was married to his love, Ludie, for 47 years. Together they created a life and family that would be the catalyst for their story. He was very proud of his girls. He helped shape the lives they would choose to build for themselves. Some of his best traits will no doubt live on through them. Once his grandchildren arrived, one by one, his love grew and he proudly established his role as Popa. Being Popa to Nic, Tony, Maddock, Loey and Brock was his crowning achievement. He adored those kids with his whole heart and truly believed that they kept him young. His life was a fulfilling one. Albeit, he would have loved to keep on writing his story a little while longer. At Pat's request he wished for those attending his visitation and service, to wear a sport jersey of their choice. He really was a sport enthusiast. Or come as you are. Friends may visit at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday August 10, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sebastien Groleau officiating. Should you wish, donations can be made to Sacred Heart Parish for any ongoing restoration projects, or to Services de Santé de Chapleau Health Services Foundation.
