Obituary: Joseph Hugues Romuald Gionet
GIONET, Romuald “J.R.” Peacefully passed away in the early morning of Sunday April 17, 2016 at the age of 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Rita Gionet (nee Lepine). Caring father of Helen Fraser (late Douglas), May Houlahan (Des), late Lauraine (Lornie Swanson), Lionel Gionet (Anne Marie Boucher), Ted Gionet (Janet Boucher) and Rose Crites (Sheldon). Proud grandfather of 18, great grandfather of 40 and great great grandfather of 22. Dear brother of the late Eutrope, late Adrienne, Eliana, late Roger, late Gerry, late Eddy, Jackie, Patsy, Ernie and Leonard. J.R. will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday June 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment of ashes will take place at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Chapleau General Hospital Foundation “Ultra Sound Equipment” or to the Sacred Heart Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
