Obituary: Gérard Plourde
PLOURDE, Gérard - Décédé paisiblement avec sa famille à ses côtés le jeudi 1er juin 2023 aux Services de Santé Chapleau Health Services à l'âge de 97 ans. Époux bien-aimé de Cécile depuis 74 ans. Père aimant de Michel (Joanne), Robert (Marilyn), Dan (Trish), Suzanne Clifford (Joe) et Luc. Fier grand-père de 15 enfants et prédécédé par un petit-enfant. Arrière-grand-père de 25 enfants et d'un autre en voie de l'être. Il anticipait aussi un arrière arrière petit-enfant. Gérard a été précédé par ses 5 frères et 1 sœur. Ses nombreux neveux et nièces se souviendront de lui avec affection. La crémation a eu lieu au River's Edge Cremation Centre, à Sault Ste. Marie. Une messe commémorative aura lieu à l'église Sacré-Cœur le vendredi 16 juin 2023 à 11 h, sous la présidence du révérend Hervé Sauvé. Des dons commémoratifs aux Services de Santé Chapleau Health Services seraient grandement appréciés par la famille. PLOURDE, Gérard – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Services Santé Chapleau Health Services at the age of 97 years. Beloved husband of Cécile for 74 years. Loving father of Michel (Joanne), Robert (Marilyn), Dan (Trish), Suzanne Clifford (Joe) and Luc. Proud grandfather of 15 and predeceased by one grandchild. Great grandfather of 25 with one more on the way. He was also expecting a great great grandchild. Gérard is predeceased by his 5 brothers and 1 sister. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie. A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Friday June 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Hervé Sauvé officiating. Memorial donations made to the Services Santé Chapleau Health Services would be greatly appreciated by the family.
