Notice of Public Meeting for Zoning By-law Amendment

TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Chapleau will hold a Public Meeting, pursuant to
Section 34 of the Planning Act, to receive input on one proposed site-specific amendments
to the Approved Zoning By-law 2013-11.
THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the site-specific amendments are:
49 Monk Street
- to permit up to 5 residential dwelling units, and reduced parking requirements, on property located at 49 Monk Street, legal description: PLAN 158, LOT 324, in theTownship of Chapleau
The purpose of the Public Meeting is to hear comments and review submissions from the public and other agencies.

Date and Location of Public Meeting:
Date: February 21st, 2023
Time: 6:30 pm
Location: Council Chambers, Chapleau Civic Centre, 20 Pine Street West,
Chapleau, ON


ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting, and make oral and/or written submissions
with regards to either of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendments.
IF YOU WISH TO BE NOTIFIED of the passing of either of the proposed Zoning By-law
Amendments, or the refusal of a request to amend the Zoning By-law Amendment, you
must make a written request to the CAO of the Township of Chapleau at 20 Pine Street
West, Chapleau, ON, P0M 1K0.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY that files an appeal of a decision of the Council of the
Township of Chapleau in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law amendments does not
make oral submissions at the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the
Township of Chapleau before the proposed Official Plan amendments are adopted, the
Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or
make written submissions to Township of Chapleau before the by-law is passed, the
person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the
Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so
