MITCHELL, Rita Beatrice (nee Roussel) – Passed away with her family by her side at the Chapleau General Hospital on Tuesday January 22, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Jack K. "Fleggle" Mitchell. Loving daughter of the late Napoleon and Lea Roussel. Dear sister of Sister R

Rita will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews Sylvie Roussel, Marie-Claude Roussel, Bill Mitchell (Cherie), Doris Mitchell (Richard), Derinda Hammerstedt (Eric) and Judy Saunders. Family and friends are invited to visit at the P.M. Gilmartin Visitation Centre (10 Young Street, 1-800-439-4937) on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sebastien Groleau officiating. Rita’s ashes will be interred with her husband in the Summer of 2013. Memorial donations made to the Sacred Heart Church or to the Northeastern Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
