ENCIL, Percy H. - Passed away peacefully at the Chapleau Health Services surrounded by family on Monday November 11, 2013 in his 95th year. Percy was born in Chapleau on March 10, 1919 to the late James and Laura Encil. Loving father of Gayle Duggan (James) and Val Ladouceur (Denis). Cherished grandfather of Melanie O'Riley, Tracy Castonguay (Jean), Darren O'Riley, Christopher Plouffe (Jodi), Jennifer Matthewson (Jim) and Vincent Ladouceur. Percy will also be missed by his great grandchildren Justin and Janelle Castonguay, Janna, Liam and Connor O'Riley, Savannah Matthewson and Kaitlyn Plouffe. Also missing him will be his son-in-law Leo Plouffe. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Percy was pre-deceased by his wife Glorina (Pino) and daughter Louayne Plouffe both in 2007. He worked for C.P. Rail for 46 years and he was a life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and served on various committees. He was a proud World War II veteran and it was fitting that he passed on this day of remembrance. Friends are invited to visit at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5 on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday November 18, 2013 at St. John’s Anglican Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5, Sick Children’s Hospital, Toronto or to the House of Kin, Sudbury would be greatly appreciated by the family.
