Death Notice Elsie Frankow
FRANKOW, Elsie (nee Knezic) – Passed away peacefully just three days after her 93rd birthday on Friday November 28, 2014 at the Bignucolo Residence in Chapleau, Ontario. Elsie was born in Pelham Township, Ontario on November 25, 1921. During her life she also lived in Wainfleet Township, Welland, Parry Sound (where she and her husband owned and operated the Elliiott House Resort on Otter Lake) and in Sault Ste. Marie. Elsie is survived and deeply missed by her son Philip of Chapleau, daughter-in-law Diane of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, brother William Knezic (Lorraine) of Welland, and sister-in-law Jennie Koabel of Port Colborne and her 2 grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by her parents Steve and Barbara (nee Frankovic) Knezic, husband Philip Frankow, sisters Rosaria, Anna (Draskovich) and Mary (Bakin, Horjan) and her brothers George and Joseph. At Elsie’s request, her cremated remains will be interred with her husband in Parry Sound in the spring of 2015 at a private family ceremony. Memorial donations made to the Bignucolo Residence of the Chapleau Health Services would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers at the Bignucolo Residence and to the medical staff at the Chapleau General Hospital for the care given to Elsie.
