BEAR PROOF REFUSE CONTAINERS The Council of the Township of Chapleau wishes to advise all citizens of Chapleau and all citizens within the unorganized areas around Chapleau of it's guidelines for the use of bear proof refuse containers. COVID-19 Testing Update The Ministry of Health recently updated their COVID-19 testing guidelines for remote/isolated/rural/Indigenous communities. The new guidelines include typical and atypical COVID-19 symptoms and are encouraging communities to test any person experiencing any of the identified symptoms. MEDIA RELEASE Date: April 8, 2020 For Immediate Release WAIVER OF PENALTY AND INTEREST Township of Chapleau Council, at a special meeting held Wednesday April 8th has voted to waive penalty and interest on the March 30th 2020 tax installment until June 30th, 2020. The second quarter 2020 water, wastewater and refuse collection billing, normally issued in April, will be issued in May with a May 29th due date and interest and penalty on the May billing will be waived until June 30th 2020.
