Royal Canadian Legion
The Royal Canadian Legion, Harry Searle Branch No. 5,
is housed in one of Chapleau's landmark buildings.
Legion Hall, as it is now known, was built in 1919 in memory of Lorne W. Nicholson, one of Chapleau's sons
to fall in the Great War.
The Legion building, the cenotaph, and two artillery guns on the grounds serve as a monument to those who gave their lives for freedom.
The Royal Canadian Legion is involved in community service, especially through programs for youth and seniors.
General Meetings: Second Thursday of each month.
