The Landfill will be closed Saturday July 1st

 

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued an air quality statement for the Public Health Sudbury & Districts (Public Health) service area. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, smoke plumes from local forest fires as well as forest fires over Quebec will result in deteriorated air quality today. Public Health would like to remind residents of the health effects of forest fire (wildfire) smoke and how to protect yourself.

Formal confirmation of the acceptance of the position was received this morning and will commence June 19th, 2023. Lynne is recently retired and brings with her 25 years of Municipal experience. Lynn will be assisting Mayor and Council with the recruitment of a new CAO. We welcome Lynne to the team and our community

 

Working together to provide safe and reliable electricity We are writing to let you know that due to staffing shortages, Hydro One will be managing the day to day operations of Chapleau Hydro, effective June 13, 2023. Hydro One already serves the communities and businesses on the outskirts of Chapleau. Chapleau Hydro’s regulator, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) has issued Hydro One an interim licence to operate the distribution business of Chapleau Hydro for the next six months.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL WATER CONSUMERS The required maintenance at the Chapleau Water Treatment Plant has been successfully completed. The Township will continue to monitor water consumption with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA). We wish to remind you of the continued dry conditions and ask that you consciously consider water conservation in your water activities. The Splash Pad will be re-opened June 8, 2023 at 4:30pm
