FRIENDLY REMINDER REFUSE COLLECTION OPERATIONS Dear Chapleau Resident: As a reminder, please adhere to the following conditions for refuse collection. 1) Your refuse must be located at curbside or outside edge of snowbank during the winter season. 2) Certain containers can pose a health and/or safety hazard to the refuse operator. i.e. open bags, obstruction of access to the container. 3) There is a six (6) bag limit, not exceeding 40 lbs per bag. 4) Bags must be of the standard green ga...

Please be advised that the Bear Bins will be locked on Friday, November 9th and removed for winter storage. The Township wishes to thank residents for their cooperation in helping to reduce bear attractants by depositing household garbage in the Bear Bins provided throughout the community. November 1st, 2018 - Chapleau, ON - The Township of Chapleau's Leisure and Cultural Services Department has been busy this fall getting ready for the upcoming winter season. A number of activities are a part of this transition including winterization of the museum, closure of the splashpad, the removal of many benches at our parks and the opening of our newly renovated Recreation Centre.
