Description:
Child welfare services are designated and regulated under the Ontario Child and Family Services Act as Children's Aid Societies. The Children's Aid Society of the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin is obligated and exclusively responsible for investigating instances of children in need of protection from abuse or neglect, and for the adoption of crown wards. The Society provides services on a 24-hour basis, 365 days a year.
