Obituary: Mary "Cecelia" Patricia Jardine
JARDINE, Mary “Cecelia” Patricia (nee Small) –Passed away peacefully at the Bignucolo Residence on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Jardine for 63 years. Cherished mother of Robert Jardine (Karen), Rosalyn Gambell (David) and Christie Jardine. Adored grandmother of Aaron Jardine (Lea), Amelia Jardine, Julie Brown (Darren) and Alex Gambell (Tanya). Great grandmother to Asia-Jane and Hendrix Jardine, Cecelia Brown and William Gambell. Cecelia is predeceased by her brothers Alcid Small and Bob Small. She will be missed by her sisters-in-law Alma Jardine (Donald), Francis Corston (Henry) and brother-in-law Tom Jardine (Joan). Cecelia will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Cecelia was trained as a nurse and loved her work at the Lady Minto Hospital. She was very committed to her community and was a member of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah's. She was a volunteer in her church and loving singing in the choir. Cecelia loved to travel, sew and cook, she especially enjoyed the summer months at camp on Moodie Lake with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church on Tuesday November 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. (Due to Covid-19, face masks/coverings are mandatory and the number of guests may be limited in the church). Memorial donations made to the Bignucolo Residence would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Bignucolo Residence for all of their wonderful care.
