BERNIER, Mary Christine (1957 – 2022) - Passed away unexpectedly at the Chapleau Health Services,  Tuesday October 18, 2022 with family by her side.  Beloved daughter of the late Gene and Grace Bernier.  Loving sister of the late Peter (Francine), late Fred (Pauline), Frank (Davida), Chris (late Kim), Michael (Barbara) and Berniece. Admired aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Mary was devoted to her Christian faith: a tireless and enthusiastic worker and volunteer with the United and Pentecostal Churches. Mary was a constant knitter/crocheter and provided many prayer shawls and baby blankets to those in need of support and comfort.

The “Camp’ on Mulligan Bay held a special place for Mary and she loved summers on the ‘Bay' early in her life and later enjoyed family holiday gatherings.

Anyone who shopped at Valu-Mart would be greeted by her smiling face and helpful manner during her 19 years of working there.

The family would like to thank and recognize the friendship, support and love given to Mary by the late Wilma Schmidt, Libby Powell, Debbie Lewis, Susan Collins Lindquist, Tarja Berthelot, Dan Lee, and many others.

Friends may visit at the Chapleau Pentecostal Church on  Wednesday October 26, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Lee officiating. Mary’s cremated remains will be laid to rest with her mother and father at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Mary to the Chapleau Pentecostal Church or to the Chapleau Trinity United Church.
