Obituary: Gilbert John Landry
LANDRY, Gilbert John – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday June 1, 2018 at the Chapleau Health Services at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of Georgette and the late Rita. Loving father of Jacqueline (Roger), Lynn, Leon (Tanya) and step-father of Suzanne (Michel), Rene (Claire) and Linda (Gary). Cherished grandfather of Denton (Melodie), Garren, Lauryn, Patrick (Chantal), Melanie (Sebastien), Laurie (Serge) and Amy. Great grandfather of Christian, Drake, Devin, Ashton, Ella and Alani. Son of the late Clarina and William Landry. Dear brother of the late Victor, late Maurice, late Mariette (late Fred), late Thérèse, late Théodore, late George, Alcide (Marjorie), Marcel (Jackie), Gaston (Betty), Octave (Connie), and late Delma (late Rita). Gilbert will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. He was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5. Friends may visit at the Sacred Heart Church on Friday June 8, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial mass at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Sebastien Groleau officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5 or to the Sacred Heart Church would be appreciated by the family.
