GERVAIS, Gérard – Décédé paisiblement avec sa famille à son chevet à la résidence Bignucolo le lundi 30 août 2021. Époux bien-aimé de feue Diane (née Dupuis) Gervais. Père de Guy Gervais (Catherine), Danielle Prusinowski (Daniel), Alain Gervais (Jocelyne), Sylvie Rioux (Donald), Yves Gervais (Natalie) et Éric Gervais. Fier grand-père de Michelle, Pamela, Joseph, Adam, Julie, Christopher, Mathieu, Valérie, de regrettée Jessie et Jenna. Arrière-grand-père de 9 enfants et arrière-arrière-grand-père d’un enfant. Frère d’Antoine Gervais (feu Lise) et de Marie-Rose Gervais (feu Lauréat) et précédé de Thérèse, Benoît, François, Cécile, Joseph et Clément. Ses nombreux neveux et nièces se souviendront de Gérard. L’incinération a eu lieu au River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie. En raison des restrictions imposées par la COVID-19, une messe commémorative familiale privée aura lieu à l’église Sacré-Cœur, sous la présidence du révérend Hervé Sauvé. L'inhumation de Diane et Gérard aura lieu au cimetière municipal de Chapleau. Des dons commémoratifs faits au Fonds d’activation des services de santé de Chapleau seraient grandement appréciés par la famille. GERVAIS, Gerard – Passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside at the Bignucolo Residence on Monday, August 30, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Diane (nee Dupuis) Gervais. Loving father of Guy Gervais (Catherine), Danielle Prusinowski (Daniel), Alain Gervais (Jocelyne), Sylvie Rioux (Donald), Yves Gervais (Natalie) and Eric Gervais. Proud grandfather of Michelle, Pamela, Joseph, Adam, Julie, Christopher, Mathieu, Valérie, the late Jessie and Jenna. Great grandfather of 9 and great great grandfather of 1. Dear brother of Antoine Gervais (late Lise) and Marie-Rose Gervais (late Laureat) and predeceased by Therese, Benoit, Francois, Cecile, Joseph and Clement. Gerard will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie. Due to Covid restrictions a private family memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church with Reverend Hervé Sauvé officiating. Interment of Diane and Gerard will take place at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Chapleau Health Services Activation Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
