CHAPLEAU WATER TREATMENT PLANT
Attention Residents of The Township of Chapleau
Due to a process interruption at the Chapleau Water Treatment Plant, residents may notice a discoloration as well as a taste/odour in the water. The Operators at the Water Treatment Plant are ensuring that all water quality regulations are being maintained.
The Water Treatment Plant is experiencing a delay in water production, therefore flushing of the system is not feasible at this time.
The Water Treatment Plant Operators have determined water conservation will be needed at this time, to ensure sufficient water reserves for both the community and firefighting purposes.
The Township is asking residents to take extra measures to reduce unnecessary water consumption and high-volume water uses until further notice. An update will be issued once the conservation measures are lifted.
