CHS - General Hospital

Chapleau General Hospital, with 14 acute care beds, provides primary care in general medicine, 24-hour emergency services, 24 hour laboratory and diagnostic imaging, and occupational therapy. There is a medical videoconferencing and rehabilitation service facility that links patients to specialists province-wide. The hospital is presently installing PACS technology in its diagnostic imaging department, which will be operational by the end of 2005. The hospital also offers a variety of specialty clinics that includes: Diabetes education, Oncology, Visiting paediatrician, Visiting urologist, Advanced footcare, Dietician counselling, Visiting Nurse Practitioner Well Woman Clinic. |
